Best 3 Wheel Pushchairs
All-terrain pushchair with lightweight durability and great maneuverability. The compact fold with one hand makes it easy to carry. It can also stand on its own when folded. The cushioned seat reclines into an almost flat position and there's a huge storage bin and canopy. Newborn suitability: Yes and with a separate carrycot (not suitable for sleeping overnight).
Air-filled tyres and a good suspension can handle rough terrain. It's also suitable for jogging, although you should wait until your baby is six or nine months old before doing this.
Ickle Bubba Air
This pushchair from Ickle Bubba is an excellent choice for parents who want a lightweight buggy with enhanced features. This travel system includes a carrycot that is flat for newborns and a multi-position forward and rear facing seat for a pushchair.
The XL Air is a very impressive buggy. It's easy to see why it's received such high marks from its customers. It is extremely light with the chassis and wheels weigh only 6.5kg. It is also very easy to assemble. In fact, I was able to get the whole thing up and running in just five minutes, which is amazing considering that it also included a strapping of the fabric for the carrycot!
It has a nice wide, comfortable seat that is comfortable for Annie (who is 12 months old) and the recline lever is very simple to use. There's a good amount of space inside the basket, and I love the fact that it comes with a zip-up compartment in the handle bar so that you can keep your keys and phone safe!
The only downside is that the handlebar is quite low, which can be a problem for taller parents. But, it's covered with a luxurious leather-like material that is soft and comfy and wipes down easily, making it still a breeze to push with bags and children in your hands!
Hauck Pushchair Runner
The Runner is designed for active parents who are eager to get outside and explore. Its large pneumatic wheels were designed to be used on field and forest paths, and the front wheel can be swivelled and locked for additional versatility. The stroller comes with five-point safety harnesses with a front bar that keeps your child safe during all trips. The parking brake will keep the stroller in place as you take a break. The comfy seat is easy to recline to a lying position and the canopy opens to reveal to allow for maximum air circulation during hot days. The handle can be adjusted by more than 30cm to accommodate mum or dad's heights.
Whether you're going for an easy jog or a long hike The Runner is ready to join you on your journeys with a comfortable, flat lie-flat seat and suspension air wheels that guarantee smooth, safe ride. The front wheel can be locked for greater stability on narrow streets and congested sidewalks and the stroller folds up easily to fit in car boot spaces and storage areas.
Some parents have found the Runner 2 to be a little more difficult to navigate than its predecessor, and the locking mechanism is less user-friendly (requiring two buttons on either side of the push bar). The handlebars are a bit higher than the ones of other competitors, and therefore may not be suitable for shorter parents. However, this stroller is sturdy and versatile and is a good option by families with active children.
Red Kite Push Me Pace
Red Kite's Pace is a great product from the budget-friendly British brand. They are renowned for their simple, well-designed products that are essential for parents. It's their newest and most expensive addition to the stroller line that is a bargain and lightweight. Like the Ickle Bubba Aurora or Yoyo it's car seat-compatible, so it can be used from birth.
The new Pace has some amazing design features, including a rose gold tint to the chassis, hood and stroller trims to make it stand out from its competition. The grey, tan and cream fabrics used in the stroller as well as the car seat are elegant and there is the option of adding the leather cover handle and bumper bar, too.

It's suitable from birth to a maximum weight of 22kg and the stroller seat converts easily from the carrycot to the 2-in-1 reversible mode. It can be parent or world-facing. The stroller seat comes with several lie-back positions, plus soft padded legs rests, and an extendable sun canopy with zip-off sections that are concealed, a viewing see-through flap, and retractable visor.
What's more, when it's folded in half, the Pace measures up at 56 33 x 43 x 32cm, which is enough to qualify as hand luggage with Easyjet and Ryanair, among other carriers. It's also a breeze to fold down, using two buttons on either side of the handlebar which just click in and pop up.
Bugaboo Fox 5
Bugaboo's Fox 5 is designed to be the ultimate all-terrain stroller. Its unique chassis has a shorter wheel distance, making it more manoeuvrable than its predecessor. lightweight 3 wheel pushchair put it to the test with my two children - one a toddler and another eight-week-old - on rocky pavements, grassy woodland walks and even cobblestones.
The large puncture-proof wheels - either 22cm or a bit larger are able to handle a variety of terrains. The wheels come with a flap that can be opened or closed to let air in when needed. It is a little bigger than most pushchairs, but it isn't heavy or bulky when pushing over bumpy surfaces.
The fabric for the seat can be washed by machine and the faux leather grips and frame are easy to clean. It's also much quieter than many pushchairs and I felt safe using it in busy city streets. It comes with accessory points, so you can attach footmuffs and parasols as well as changing bags or snack trays, and even snack trays. You can also use the hood to block out wind and rain, although it isn't particularly waterproof. The single pram is able to be fitted with the Comfort Wheeled board (not included) that gives your child more legroom. It took about 20 minutes to set up the bassinet, and the same amount of time to convert it to the seat.
